The Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) in Trier (Germany) is an internationally recognized research-based
psychology service center located in Trier (Germany) and belongs to the Leibniz Association. ZPID puts a strong emphasis
on open science and is currently establishing research groups in science reception, psychological meta-science, and big
data in psychology.
As part of this effort, we are searching for
PhD in Psychological Meta-Science (m/f/d)
(salary group TV-L E13, 75 %, 3+1 years)
Preferred start date: November 1, 2026 or later.
This position is part of the Psychological Meta-Science lab at ZPID. Some of the key foci of this lab include
the biases that are part of the research process, with a particular focus on researcher degrees of freedom; the
replicability and reliability of findings of psychological research, calibrated communication of scientific
findings; researcher profiles and the factors that affect researchers' careers in psychology. The successful
candidate will use the data available at ZPID to investigate one of these (or related) topics.
Your profile:
MSc in psychology (or a related field)
Experience in quantitative research and data analysis
Strong interest in psychological methods and statistics
Experience with R or Python
Strong English language skills (spoken and written)
You are team-oriented, systematic, thorough, and persistent in your work
