An der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Tübingen ist am
Hector-Institut für Empirische Bildungsforschung zum 1. April 2019 oder später eine
W2-Professur für Educational Effectiveness/Educational Trajectories
zu besetzen. Die Besetzung erfolgt im Beamtenverhältnis auf Zeit für sechs Jahre. Die Lehrverpflichtung
beträgt neun Semesterwochenstunden.
Die ausgeschriebene Professur soll die Empirische Bildungsforschung am Standort Tübingen im Bereich
Educational Effectiveness/Educational Trajectories in schulrelevanten Bereichen mit besonderem
Schwerpunkt in einem der Arbeitsbereiche des Instituts (Educational
Effectiveness/Kompetenzmodellierung, Motivations- und Persönlichkeitsentwicklung im Schulkontext,
Unterrichtsqualität, Begabung, Methoden der Pädagogischen Psychologie/Empirischen
Bildungsforschung) vertreten.
Die Professur ist am Masterstudiengang Empirische Bildungsforschung und Pädagogische Psychologie,
am Bachelor-Studiengang B.A. Erziehungswissenschaft und Soziale Arbeit/Erwachsenenbildung sowie
an der pädagogischen Ausbildung der Lehramtsstudierenden beteiligt. Vorausgesetzt werden eine
psychologische, erziehungswissenschaftliche oder soziologische Habilitation oder gleichwertige
wissenschaftliche Leistungen sowie eine nachgewiesene didaktische Eignung.
Erwartet wird eine enge Zusammenarbeit innerhalb des Hector-Instituts für Empirische
Bildungsforschung sowie Mitarbeit und Kooperation mit den Mitgliedern des LEAD Graduate School &
Research Networks.

The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences – Hector Research - Institute for Education Sciences and
Psychology – at the University of Tübingen invites applications for the position of
W 2-Professorship for Educational Effectiveness/Educational Trajectories
The position is due to commence on April 1, 2019 or later.
The successful candidate will be employed for a limited time period of six years with the status of temporary
civil servant (Beamtenverhältnis auf Zeit). He/ she will have a teaching load of nine teaching hours per week.
This professorship is in the field of education sciences in Tübingen, with a focus on educational
effectiveness/educational trajectories in school-relevant areas, and focusing in particular on one of the main
fields of research at the institute (educational effectiveness/competence modeling, motivational and
personality development in the school context, instructional quality, giftedness, methodology in education
sciences/psychology).
The successful candidate will be involved in the following study programs: Master of Education Science and
Psychology, Bachelor Education Science and Social Work/Adult Education, and the educational training of
teaching students (Lehramt). Required qualifications include a postdoctoral qualification in psychology,
education science, sociology, or equivalent scientific achievement and a demonstrated aptitude for teaching.
Close collaboration is expected within the Hector Institute of Education Science, as is participation and
cooperation with the members of the LEAD Graduate School & Research Networks.
