
Student Research Assistant : Max Planck Institute for Human Development Berlin
The Center for Adaptive Rationality directed by Ralph Hertwig at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development (Berlin) is seeking applicants for a position as Student Research Assistant to assist the ongoing research in all phases of the scientific process. Research assistants are usually employed on a basis of 41-80h a month. The position lasts for 6 months minimum and will be prolonged given mutual interest. The anticipated start date is June 1st, 2023. The remuneration without a Bachelor's degree is 12,00€/h- in the Master's degree 13,95€/h. Application deadline is April 12th, 2023.
What we offer
The Center for Adaptive Rationality is investigating various aspects of judgment and decision-making. We offer you the chance to participate in an international and interdisciplinary research team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of research projects related to the development of decision-making strategies in childhood. The main task will be to support data collection. Depending on the progress of the projects other tasks are possible, e.g. literature research or support in qualitative and quantitative data preparation and quantitative data preparation and analysis.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at a German university (Psychology, Educational Sciences, Cognitive science, or related field).
- Very good level of German and English
- Organizational talent, high degree of responsibility and ability to work independently
- High interest in participating in research on developmental psychology
Desired qualifications (not all are necessary to apply)
- Experience in working with (young) children
- Familiar with the statistical software R (or willingness to learn it)
