The Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) in Trier (Germany) is an internationally renowned research
support organization in psychology and a member of the prestigious Leibniz Association. Our mission is to establish
excellent conditions for researchers to adopt open science practices.

In the process of strategic expansion, a new infrastructure department has been established, which will provide
the following services (to be released 2020):
• Pre -registration of studies with our online platform Registered Reports in Psychology
• Free data collection in our offline lab equipped with a variety of eye tracking devices or via an online panel
(PsychLab offline/online)
• A web -based application to support collaborative, low -threshold, and easy -to- archive study planning and
data analysis functionalities (PsychNotebook)

We are currently offering an infrastructure and research position to be f illed by a

PhD candidate / Research associate (m/f/d)
(salary group TV-L E13, 75%, limited for 4 years)

The successful applicant will carry out research related to the improvement, reception, and use of the above listed
open science infrastructures and will further be involved in the maintenance and provision of these services.
Research will involve topics of meta- research, usability, and cognitive processing. Our lab is further equipped with
a variety of eye tracking devices (EyeLink 1000+, Tobii Spectr um, Tobii Pro X3-120, mobile eye tracker by Pupil
Labs) providing the opportunity to develop and pursue own research interests utilizing this infrastructure.

Preferred start date is September 2019 or later.

Your profile:
• Master’s degree in Psychology or a related discipline
• Interest in meta- research, vision, and/or attention
• An affinity with programming (preferably R and Python)
• Strong analytical skills
• A service -oriented, proactive mindset, and an ability to work self -organized
• Excellent English communic ation skills (written and spoken); German is a plus
• Previous research experience with eye tracking and/or panel -based data collection is desirable.
