The Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) in Trier (Germany) is an internationally renowned research
support organization in psychology and a member of the prestigious Leibniz Association.
Current as well as future ZPID research areas and services are based on and guided by the values of open science
and open innovation. ZPID provides tools and services to facilitate access to, manage, steward and store digital
research data. It has won a grant by the German Research Foundation (DFG) to further enhance DataWiz , a tool
that helps researchers in psychology to manage and document their research data.
For this project, we are looking for a

Junior Researcher / Doctoral Candidate (m/f/d): User Experience
(salary group TV -L E13, 75%, limited for 2 years)

Start date is August 1st, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter
Duties and functions:
• Improving the user experience of DataWiz in close cooperation with a software developer
• Usability testing: Designing, performing and evaluating usability tests in lab as well as in field conditions
• Defining and analyzing scenarios and use cases for research data management
• Promotion of the project with workshops, presentations and publications
Your profile:
• Master -level degree in Psychology, or UX Design, or a related field with a focus on human- computer
interaction, cognitive ergonomics or other areas related to user -centered design
• General knowledge of psychological methods and the management of research data
• Distinct communication and presentation skills
• Proactive, results -oriented, and independent working style
