The Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) in Trier (Germany) is an internationally renowned research support organization in psychology and a member of the prestigious Leibniz Association.
To fulfil the ever-increasing research infrastructure needs expressed by researchers and psychology professionals, ZPID is in the process of strategic expansion directed at meeting these needs to become psychology’s one-stop research service
center. Current as well as future ZPID research areas and services are based on and guided by the values of open science and open innovation.

Research Coordinator (m/f): Staff Position
(salary group TV-L E 13, 75 %, initially limited for 2 years),

Preferred start date is April 1, 2019 or later

Your tasks will encompass:

  • Monitoring and coordination of ZPID’s research activities (coordinated with the institute’s executive board)
  • Ongoing review of funding programmes of national and international third-party funding agencies and alignment with the overall strategy of the ZPID
  • Identification of ZPID-internal persons and working groups as well as external cooperation partners who are eligible for certain application procedures, and preparation of the call and application documents in line with the requirements of the target persons
  • Active support and monitoring of the entire process of acquiring third-party funding, including internal and external communication (e.g. with the ZPID-administration, financing institutions, cooperation partners)
  • Conducting research related to ZPID's research program, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting on conferences
  • Participation in the continuous development of ZPID's strategy for research and third-party funding acquisition
  • Coordination of young scientists’ activities at the ZPID
  • Regular participation in meetings of the institute's executive board (including periodic reports on the status of ongoing and planned application procedures)

Your profile :

  • Master or comparable and PhD degree in psychology
  • Comprehensive research and publication experience in psychology
  • Experience in application for third party funding and project management
  • Experience in strategic coordination of research activities
  • Very good organizing and conceptualization skills
  • Proactive, self-reliant and responsible work style
  • High interpersonal communication and cooperation skills
  • Excellent skills in German and English language, both oral and written
