Within the framework of a cooperation, the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Science at
Tübingen University, Research Unit Applied Cognitive Psychology, and the independent Leibniz-
Institut für Wissensmedien (IWM), invite applications for the position of a
Research Assistant/PhD student
(m/f/d, TV-L, E13, 65%, initially limited to 3 years)
By contract, 50% of the position will be located at Tübingen University and 15% at the Leibniz-
Institut für Wissensmedien.
Tasks
- Conception, implementation and evaluation of experimental studies in the field of applied
cognitive psychology (such as risk perception, human-machine interaction),
- Conducting of own research projects.
- Teaching in the amount of 2 hours per week in the fields of knowledge, communication and
media psychology is mandatory.
We offer a highly attractive research environment with excellent technical equipment as well as a
pleasant and motivating working environment and intensive exchange within the team. We expect a
university degree (diploma, master) in psychology, cognitive sciences or a related discipline,
experience with experimental research and interest in research topics in the field of social and/or
cognitive psychology. Methodological and statistical skills as well as a very good command of
English are required. Programming skills (e.g. R, Matlab, PsychoPy) are advantageous.
