A postdoctoral or PhD position is available at the Psychiatric University Hospital of
Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin in the research group Multisensory Integration
(www.multisensorymind.com) as part of the DFG grant project "Examining the neural
network dynamics underlying the temporal integration window of crossmodal perception".

Company description
Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin is a joint institution of Freie Universität Berlin and
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. As one of the largest university hospitals in Europe with
a significant history, it has a leading role in research, teaching and patient care. But
Charité also stands out as a modern company with certifications in the medical, clinical

Application fields
The Multisensory Integration group is dedicated to the study of electrophysiological
signals in sensory and cognitive information processing in the human brain. We study
these processes in healthy individuals and in mentally ill people. A major focus of our

Hedwig Hospital, which houses a state-of-the-art EEG system (128 channels).

Responsibilities

• Preparation, implementation and analysis of electroencephalography (EEG) studies

on healthy individuals

• EEG data analysis: neuronal oscillations; source localization; computational modelling

• Publication of project data in peer-reviewed international journals

Prerequisites

• Completed doctoral degree in neuroscience, psychology, medicine, physics or related

fields

• Methodological background: experience in EEG data analysis and computational

modeling

• Willingness to prepare own third-party project proposals for further research desired

• Sufficient knowledge of the German language to communicate with study participants.
