The research group on “Sensomotoric learning ” of Prof. Dr. Alexander Schütz at the Depar t-
ment of Psychology is currently accepting applications for a
Research Assistant
(Postdoc)
The position is offered for a period from 01.04.2019 until 31.03.2021 , if no former times of
qualification must be considered . The position is full -time with salary and benefits comme n-
surate with a public service position in the state Hesse, Germany (TV -H E 13 , 100 % ).
The ERC Starting Grant “PERFORM” focusses on eye movemen ts and the interplay of
foveal and peripheral vision. Further information on the project is available at

services in the above mentioned project, in particular the d evelopment and experimental
validation of co mputational models of visual perception across eye movements.
The position will be filled by a temporary contract that is limited to the period which is ne c-
essary to gain further scientific expertise (such as the preparation for a subsequent qualific a-
tion period). Within t he entrusted tasks the opportunity for independent scientific work to
obtain further personal qualification is given. The limitation of the contract complies to § 2
Abs. 1 WissZeitVG.
The successful applicant will hold an MSc -degree or equivalent and a PhD in Psychology, Co m-
puter Science or a related subject. Experience with computational modelling of perception
and/or eye movements is expected. Thematically relevant publications in peer -reviewed
journals and experience with the development of experiments are desirable.
The research group offers the cooperation in a motivated team, an excellent lab equipment
