A 3-year doctoral position is available at Saarland University (Germany) ,
Department of Psychology to work with Dr. Jutta Kray and Dr. Axel Mecklinger .
The successful candidate will contribute to a research project that examines the
age -related and cultural -related differences in episodic memory, its neuronal
correlates and its modification by the training of specific memory strategies . The
doctoral fellow will be involved in all aspects of the project , including planning
and implementing behavio ral and EEG/ERP experiments, data collection and
anal yses, presenting study results at international conferences, wri ting
manuscripts, and recruiting participants.

Required Qualifications :
- M.Sc. in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive s cience or related field
- Strong academic record
- Strong background in experimental p sychology , excellent statistical skills,
and experience with conducting experimental research
- Excellent skills in written and spoken English
- Inherent interest in cognitive neuroscience, episodic memory, cognitive
control, train ing research
- Expertise with EEG/ERP methods and programing skills
Terms:
- The position is available from May 1, 2019 or later for a maximum of 3
years
- Salary scale TV -L E13 (65 %)
