Data Scientist (m\/f\/d)<\/h1>\n

Duties and functions:<\/strong><\/p>\n
Digitization and globalization are changing and accelerating the ways in which information is stored and exchanged. Data high in volume, velocity, variety, has become a central part of computational social science and metascience. To complement our research group, we are hiring a data scientist. Tasks include:<\/p>\n

- Applying NLP\/ML methods for text classification and knowledge discovery in social media and scientific publications<\/li>\n
- Preprocessing and analyzing large-scale datasets and text corpora<\/li>\n
- Developing solutions for sustainable data storage according to GDPR<\/li>\n
- Presenting at conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Your profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n
- \n
- Master-level degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or in a related area<\/li>\n
- Profound knowledge in ML, network analysis, and NLP (e.g., distributional semantics, terminology extraction, argument mining, event detection)<\/li>\n
- Advanced skills in R and\/or python<\/li>\n
- Experience with sensor data and relational databases is a plus<\/li>\n
- Knowledge in the fields of psychology, metascience, or information retrieval is a plus<\/li>\n
- English skills (spoken and written): B2 or better<\/li>\n
- German skills (spoken and written): B1 or better<\/li>\n
- Distinct communication and presentation skills<\/li>\n
- Proactive, results-oriented, and team-oriented working style<\/li>\n
- Focus on open science and interdisciplinarity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
